she got my order correct (as far as the two items that I wanted) but she added an appetizer that I had never heard of before.... fried chives dumplings. they're delicious! chives, rice, tapioca, salt, and sugar. with soy sauce for dipping. I have no idea how/why she added it to my order.
why is eBay recommending big beautiful cocks? I've never searched nor purchased them from eBay before.
my Dad would have loved this event. he was ex-army and very patriotic. and his microscopically small hometown was one of the few places in the entire country where it stopped. Me, my brother, and his son, all got to see it. We had a great time. My brother is absolutely obsessed with trains.
"Big Boy" is the largest surviving operational steam engine in the USA. For America's 250th celebrations Big Boy has been traveling coast-to-coast and back again. It stopped right in my Dad's hometown yesterday and I got to see it. It is *BIG* and it is *LOUD*.
I also bought this guy who I can only assume is a ceramic pig-faced sperm ghost. The shop owner had no clue what it was either but for $6 I had to have him.
I've started a new collection/obsession. Do you know what they are? a) vintage sock darning eggs b) Victorian era dildos c) fossilized Teletubby turds
I was rummaging through some boxes of miscellaneous junk I inherited from my parents. I found this set of bicentennial medals in a fancy presentation case. I wondered if they might be valuable? They are not. They're $10. I bet they're worth less today than whatever my parents paid 50 years ago.
YAY! I got my first 2026 quarters today. Neither one of them have the super special "July 4th" mark on them (as shown in the 2nd photo). Something like only 0.1% of the quarters will have it. (I'm not sure the exact percentage but it's ridiculously small, making them collectors items.)
I think I'm in love with this Sinningia hybrid I created. fuzzy leaves, fuzzy & peachy-pink flowers on the outside, purple-lavender on the inside.
one of our earliest dollar coins had an eagle similar to that. not quite 250 years old but close. there might be other examples of it.
I bought this ceramic box online for next to nothing, and I think it's 1960's, designer, Italian, and worth a small fortune.
Happy Father's Day to me! Here are my two biological totally-not-adopted children.
I love the new bracket on Drag Race but the judging for this episode was horrendous.
