Mosely was pre-WW2 UK fascist. Farage is current UK Trump wannabe who could yet be Prime Minister. The criteria is a fair fit for Trump, too.
Glitz at the Met. But celebrity events no longer shine. Why? Because Trump killed the American dream. What was once a beacon of hope now engenders disgust and anger.
Oh look! I just passed a thousand followers. Thanks, everyone. It's nice that people are interested in my doodling. Curiously, it took about 10K posts. So 100 posts per follower. Not efficient, but I don't mind. Writing helps me think, as does the 300 character limit, which I've just about reached.
This 'generation' stuff is like many personality dimensions: interesting, sometimes useful, but not gospel. The principle is that, beyond genetics, we are shaped by our environment (political, economic, social, technical, etc), especially when we are young. With age, we are less impressionable.
I worked for HP in the 80s and 90s. It was a fantastic employer, and everyone worked hard to make it successful. Why? Values below were real, because all managers took them seriously, especially senior ones. If we want our communities, companies and country to be great again, we should take note.
After outrage from his supporters, Trump weakly claims the glowing AI image of him laying on of healing hands was depicting him as a doctor. Pah!
Promise a pardon. Then demand act that is mildly illegal. Now threaten not to give pardon unless they commit highly illegal acts.
70 million Catholics in America. 1.4 billion in the world. I think it's Trump who should watch his step.
Trump's vulgar language is either dementia or trying to use Nixon's madman strategy. Neither will work. Destroying civilian infrastructure will be a war crime. Iran has said in reprisal it would attack Gulf desalination plants, essentially making the whole area unliveable. From The Guardian:

Millions and millions of Americans are saying no to Trump and his illegal ICE, tariffs, wars, etc.
Classic Trump. He doesn't have allies. Just vassals who can be coerced into obedience by threatening 'bad things'. If NATO refuses to get involved in his illegal forever war, he'll vengefully use this as reason to leave the alliance. It's a no-win choice.
Arming Kurds? It's an American model. Remember arming and training the Afghan Mujahedeen to fight the Russians? Then abandoning them, then fighting them? When you give people guns, they will shoot people they don't like, not just the ones you tell them to shoot.
OMG (literally). This is dangerous in so many ways. 'Cause Armageddon'? Nuclear war would do that. Is that the plan?? I'm hoping it's fake, but suspect it's not.
That's a lot of bangs. What damage, lives lost or ruined, military advantage, political impact, and future change? As with much war, it's likely worse than expected.
It's half time and we're in the theatre. The play's the thing. Orwell. 1984. So, so familiar.
Here's a good analysis of Trumpian communications, "the strategy is to exhaust our capacity for astonishment." Cults use exhaustion to suppress critical analysis and thus ready the mind for accepting crazy beliefs. Don't be bludgeoned into submission!
The DOJ is now adorned with the glorious image of our dearest leader. Bow down before his royal likeness!
