The Urban Tree Canopy Festival is back for another year, offering District residents the opportunity to receive free trees for their property or a shrub for their apartment! A healthier urban tree canopy will help us take action against climate change and increase biodiversity and wildlife habitat.
Council meets Monday for a Special Meeting where they will receive an update on the Development Approvals Process Review program, which is aimed at simplifying applications and improving permit processes. Following this meeting, Council will hold a workshop to discuss the 2027 budget
