I recognize one of those boys on the right. My son's US college soccer journey has brought him home to Indiana University, winner of US-best 8 college titles since 1982 (but none for a decade+). As opening game approaches, excited to see how this group comes together this fall in search of number 9!

Found this in photos of a 2018 trip w/ my 12-yo son to Spain (Donostia in Basque country). Son, his US mates and team they'd just played all gathered to watch Spain exit the WC in R16 pens to Russia (thanks Aspas). Never any doubt for us that Spain's now young men would someday lift a WC trophy.

Quick #FPL post-mortem. OR ~239k--disappointing given I was at 16k in GW6 with all chips in hand minus a successful GW3 BB. Bad stretch + then churned in place for weeks on end in 2nd half of season. But for 10 yrs it's been about sticking it to local friends+fam. 3 for 3 in those MLs so 🥂 🫶
Can't wait to watch my all-time favorite player compete for Indiana beginning this spring!
Just a moment of pride as we wait for what’s sure to be a glorious PL Boxing Day fixture. Last week my son completed his transfer to the Indiana Hoosiers (NCAA college soccer in USA). Every match in the Big Ten Conference is a battle but he’s excited for the challenge!
Congratulations to my boy (13) and his college teammates on winning the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title last night. Leicester-like worst to first story. Now on to the quarterfinals of the MVC tourney. Winner to NCAA D1 tournament. 13 has been immense in the midfield all year!
The boy and his Northern Illinois University teammates outshot and outplayed nationally ranked UMKC but couldn’t finish off the upset tonight. Good goal off a long lung-busting run into the box by my fav player.

4 great men's soccer teams qualified for next week's NCAA #CollegeCup. Saw Marshall up close. Strong team. Played son's NIU team to 1-1 preseason draw (my frosh with this goal). Ohio St so good. But Vermont and Denver (was on faculty at DU) places I once called home-- would love either winning.
Haven't shared much about my PD, but this clip from a few weeks ago is a good depiction of the ups and downs. I'm in the red t-shirt and hat jumping up to celebrate my son's first college soccer goal (road game winner in final minute) and then taking an awesome tumble down a ramp. Smooth 😎
