Beautiful! The Northern California coast is so beautiful. Mr. Jack and I took most of our vacations a couple hundred miles further north in Mendocino county. Lots of lovely lonely beaches with excellent sniffies.

Just another lovely summer day here in Cowboyland, y’all. A feels like of 121 but somehow the birbs are out there flittering about my feeders and not, you know, bursting into flames or somesuch. 🔥🥵🔥

Kept secret to protect tourism LKF, Texas bunnies are actually viscous apex predators. This fellow’s job is to lure you with cuteness and then the whole fluffle descends upon you and strips your carcass to the bone in minutes. I’m currently without canine protection so housebound until he hops off.

A beautiful evening here alongside the Nenana River just outside Denali NP in glorious Alaska. We start our journey home tomorrow but it’s been a wonderful trip with my mother, my brother, his wife and my two nephews. Going to miss the weather here which is about 50 degrees cooler than home. 🩷🫎🐻❤️

Had my exit interview today with my brother’s dog, Hopper, as part of his care team while his hoos have been away. I received high marks for timeliness, 🎾 throwing & buttscritch technique but an unsatisfactory for failure to put any and all existent treatage into the Hopper when clearly requested.

Last night I ate on the patio of a local restaurant where thuggish representatives from the local flock of grackles attempted to extort dinner shares from diners. I declined to share & this morning find these two calling me names from across the street. Coincidence? #birds #grackles #velociraptors

Though perhaps fanciful, I can’t shake the feeling that they are discussing whether the human they followed home last night might perhaps be too fatty and high in cholesterol for their flock to consume as their morning snack.

For today’s #ThrowbackThursday we go back to Christmas 2013 when Jack was compelled against his will to participate in Christmas photo activities at daycare without adequate treato compensation. I was told that shortly after the sitting pic he knocked over the set and stormed off like a diva. 🎄

Jack let me know today that he could smell old friends waiting for him across the 🌈bridge & it was time for him to go. Somehow, more than 16 years have gone by in the blink of an eye. So long Jack, old friend, you were the best boy & I’ll miss you terribly. I hope we’ll be together again someday.💔❤️💔

Attempted to override Mr Jack’s preference for the shaded and always muddy area of the dog park, which is also within the sphere of influence of the unfortunately malodorous outhouse, by walking him to the pleasant and sunny part of the park before releasing him. 🐶🙄
