I should probably write at least a substack post about the role of knit-wear in science fiction films. I can think of at least three such movies in which wool sweaters / jumpers / cardigans signal a kind of anti-dystopian refuge or escape: NEVER LET ME GO, MINORITY REPORT, and PROJECT HAIL MARY.
