It's so easy to not use AI for a show poster. I don't even consider myself much of a visual artist and I still was able to make this poster (come out July 19th @ cafe nine in New Haven, @tv-ma.bsky.social is on tour!) It was fairly low effort too, maybe took me like 40 minutes?
Saw a cool thing to do with Bitwig's new slice mode in the sampler and wanted to recreate it my own way. Turn the Slice Play knob to generate gate signals and scrub through the sliced break. Then I have some MIDI notes mapped to different beat repeat lengths.
this is sick!! Reminds me of my own tambo stick that I built, the janglers I made out of the bottoms of beer cans, and threw some pop tabs on for more janglyness. It has a similar staccato feel, I use this a lot!
