No, I only wore a chador at the mosque and it was a horrible flowery one. Otherwise we just had to dress modestly and scarf up every time we left our room (except on the odd and remote occasion when we were given permission not to…)
It was absolutely fascinating. We had to have a guide but he was very light touch. We went to Tehran, Yazd, Shiraz, Esfahan and up into the mountains for a couple of nights. I would love to go back to explore further afield. (I took this photo in the Fashion Museum).
