This is one of my biggest cinematic "what ifs"

The Edison Twins (1984-1986). Edutainment for kids with the titular twins solving mysteries using scientific knowledge. Somehow they produced six seasons and 78 episodes in just two years. Corey Haim joined the cast at some point. EXTREMELY fuckin' Canadian.

Science Crazed (1991). Ron Switzer's schizo slowcore sci-fi/horror masterpiece. Transcends ideas of "good" and "bad", though clearly being made for some unexplained unknown purpose (to entertain? Certainly not!). A personal favorite.

The Hilarious House of Frightenstein (1971). A perpetual sick day favorite since it was re-run daytime on YTV (Canada's Nickelodeon equivalent) throughout the 90s. Dubious sketch comedy /w comedian Billy Van playing a huge assortment of horror-ish characters and Vincent Price doing intros/outros.

Puttnam's Prairie Emporium (1988-1990). Odd Saskatchewan-set kid's show with puppets and an eccentric scientist, all set in an old-fashioned five-and-dime retail store. Good theme song.

Manborg (2011). I celebrate the entire Astron-6 oeuvre, but this tribute to low-budget sci-fi ingenuity is a personal favorite, with its dumpster-scraps and greenscreen aesthetic. When do we get Manborg 2, Kostanski?
