Have had a FAMOUS historical photo as my profile pic for ages. Discovered today that #BlueSkyBlocks it. Very interesting, as the pic is a notable moment of visible, public demonstration of resistance to fascism.

MN ESST law may provide the time and space needed to keep your loved ones healthy and safe during heavy ICE weather and subzero temps.

Dear members as most of the largest school districts in the state are now announcing they will be closing tomorrow, Friday 123 due to extreme weather we wanted to remind you of your rights under the Minnesota earned sick and safe time ESST law. Members in Minnesota are allowed to take an ESST day if a family member is place of care or workplace is closed due to weather or public emergency. This includes childcare daycare and schools plus spouses or parents grandparents who receive care as well. The ESST law has an expansive definition of family member which be seen here httpS://www.dli.mn.gov/sick –leave

Under ESST individuals can take time off due to their own mental health or that of a family member domestic abuse stocking for an individual or family member and to make funeral or other arrangements due to a death in the family. Your employer is not allowed to demand paperwork related to your absence unless you take three or more consecutive days off an employer may not retaliate or take negative action against an employee for asserting their legal rights under the ESST law.
