Noodling around in Nomad for a friend. I'm getting that "maybe I'm actually kinda good at this" feeling. Might change the eyes, idk. Teeth are a placeholder #fursuit #fursuitwip
Baby's first gutter splice! (The plastic comes off after install). I'm starting to get my groove at my new gig. I'm getting along with my team, and they're trusting me with new tasks.
Hi hello I'm still alive. Still adjusting to my new gig. Getting less tired, but still wiped when I hit the weekend. Hemmed some work pants today, they're both from Dovetail. I have worn their overalls a few times and I'm in love, so I have high hopes for their pants.
I have to make femme padding for the blue dragon I'm working on. My model is a broad chested person, so store bought forms are all too narrow. I'm prototyping my own with stretch fabric and poly pellets. Where'd I get the pattern? That's none of your business. 🤫
"Go to Los Angeles... Find your dream fabric there! What's a six hour drive in the pursuit of greatness?" NO cursed mask, I won't!! This isn't that big of a deal!!
Hit a big snag with Risandria. I might have to buy a different fabric and start over. I have swatches on the way. #fursuit #fursuitwip
The straps on my fursuit's sandals are purely decorative. The sole is held on with a shitload of Velcro. I told myself I'd make velcro-on paw pads, but I'll be honest, I'm probably not going to. People love a cat that wears shoes.
Got another short little video. I made sandals for a local, Midori Hound. They liked the Tevas I made for my suit, but I had to make a couple changes to make the straps actually functional. Hey furries, you been missing out on Velcro One-Wrap.
This is the sculpt I was noodling with a few weeks ago. I think I want to take a stab at a moving jaw with my current spandex workflow, even if I have to keep the lower jaw separated. I want a dragon that's like, Dragon. Reads as A Dragon to non-furries, too.
How to smooth out bumpy TPU head bases. The backs of the cheeks were a slight undercut when they were printing so they have some gloopy loopies. That's a technical term btw.
Jet mask 2.0 update. Got her skin 95% glued on. There are some parts I like and some I don't, but overall I'm happy and ready to move on. #fursuit #fursuitwip
This is what I was struggling with yesterday. What I ended up doing was removing some length from the muzzle pattern so I can stretch it more around the upper lip. I also changed the shape of the facing.
Phew! Finally got a skin I like sewn up. Gluing is a whole different beast that I will tackle later.
To everyone that told me that Michaels was going to take over for Joanns: It's Michaels. The bar is on the floor and they keep on digging
Me: "are these horns crooked?" Wife: ".......no? Me: "Ok. They are. But if you can't tell then that's OK"
Jet v2's horns attach to the mask with magnets again. They are some beefy ones. I also started on the cuticle, or horn meat, or whatever you want to call it.
