Irish || Big tall and strong 2D Animator & Designer || He/Him Working on an animated short about 3 kids in a band called Kitten Spit Sometimes I make things out of wood for fun
Check out this jig I made to hold the drum in place while I cut the slots. I threw it together as fast as possible but it worked perfectly
I didn't even care if the illusion doesn't end up working, the fact that I got this far is cool
An Animator friend is getting married soon, so I've been making them a zoetrope for the past couple of weeks. It's still rough obviously, but it's taking shape. I still have the chance to absolutely destroy it when I cut the slots
My friend got photos developed from my stag and I'm hoping and praying that I look as happy in the photos from my wedding day as I do here, where I've just been handed an actual task from taskmaster
A place for the Kitten Spitters to hang out! I'm not very good at location design, especially colouring those locations, but it was a good start. I'll take another go at it eventually to make it look more like an older person's space that the kids have taken over
I've been a life long Lee Mack hater and lemme tell you, this bit sucks shit and it's exactly as hacky as you'd think, real coloniser mindset stuff Crazy how different cultures have their own customs 🤣🤣🤣
Few new Kitten Spit characters from earlier in the year I was making lots of progress with these lads a few months ago but you know yourself, working, planning a wedding, working on the workshop, we've only got so much time and energy 😴
Jorge Gutierrez posted on Instagram saying "I understand a lot of you are happy for me and a lot of you are really angry at me for experimenting with AI at Amazon" like thats just one of the things you go through in life, joint pain, balding, feeding kittens into the grinder down at the fuck factory
In 2017 I started a series called B-Sides, drawing album covers from the reverse angle, I did 2 and then gave up
"When you look at the cover of Sneeze Pizza, you see a charming photo, a good album cover, but when you open it up and see Teddy and me together, the album begins to work its magic" - Whit, guitarist and singer for Kitten Spit
I stayed up way too late drawing this last night because I was having such a good time, just like I did when I was 23, just like I did when I was 13. Bet ye a tenner I'll still love it in another 10 years 😌
I'm at the point where I'm painting my workshop, and I want to do a half wall but I can't decide how high to paint it, help me choose! The door and window framing will carry that green up aswell, I just haven't done it yet. My big question is do I cut the window or avoid it completely???
11 orders ready to go out tomorrow, expertly arranged to not dox anybody Tomorrow is the last day to get anything and then my Etsy is no more www.etsy.com/ie/shop/Draw...
We're into the last few days of my 50% off Etsy closing down sale and then you'll never have to hear me talk about it again! www.etsy.com/ie/shop/Draw...
Once again thinking about the time Becca's aunt walked into her local Woodies and asked a young lad working there if he had fat balls
I don't really post exploration like this publicly very often, but Patreon gets it all the time. I like having somewhere to post process drawings and talk through what I was thinking and trying to achieve as I drew them. Basically everything I've done for this project is on there going back 5 years.
Last weekend I clad this one corner in OSB and I'm excited to do the rest cause I like how it looks. Eventually I'll paint it half white, half green. I'd fly through it if I had more time and all the materials I need to hand but it has to be this piecemeal way of working for the foreseeable
Been a while since I shared any shed progress. I've been chipping away at the insulation since September! The walls are 95% done now, and the back wall is done and sheathed in OSB, partly it's not having much free time and partly not having as much money to spend on materials but it's getting there
You might think you don't have an opinion on plug sockets, but we can all agree they went too far with this one
I actually spoke too soon, this one is proper cheeky. There's a playfulness to how rounded the switches are but they look like they'd still deliver a nice click, and do not even get me started on the chamfered white inserts, a lovely little touch
I drew this guy over the last few days, he's in a rival band to Kitten Spit which I've yet to name! I usually avoid striped shirts because of how complicated they can be to animate, but I'm happy I was able to give him one since the tricky sleeve seam is covered, also he's named after my dog :)
11 orders ready to go out tomorrow! And a little reminder that I'm having a closing down sale on my Etsy, everything is 50% off until March 31st and then it is no more drawboyseanie.etsy.com
SALE SALE SALE! 50% off everything on my Etsy until March 31st, and then I'm closing it! www.etsy.com/shop/DrawBoy...
What Did You Do Yesterday is such a fun podcast it's got me drawing fan art!
I like the 30 second timelapse because you can see how much was going on in the file. Some thumbnailing to see if the layout works, an indication of the geography of the rest of the house, a brief tango with curtains over the window even though I've never met anyone with curtains in their kitchen
A first attempt at some colour. I was going to try out some more combos but I like what I landed on here. Might contact some BG artists to help me figure out how to improve it because it's not an area I'm comfy in and I just don't see glaring issues!
I've been having a fun time designing locations in these shoebox views. Next up is colour which I always find difficult Reupload cause I forgot to crop it womp womp
