Birthday lunch with the kids and then dinner and ice cream with my parents + kids + husband. My shoulder and knees are reminding me I’m not as young as I used to be. Hello 48.
After being missing for nearly 7 weeks, tonight we found my cat. He’s super skinny and just wants to eat and be loved on.

Friday night I discovered a toilet was leaking and causing damage to kitchen ceiling. Has it been leaking for months or days? How extensive is the damage?How much will it cost to fix? And why is the puppy being aggressive? Will the trainer consultation help? Just some thoughts keeping me up.

I drove this Rivian today, and I think I found my next car. On the other hand, I really like having no car payment, so my next car is going to be awhile.

Today my almost 82-year-old dad helped me put up a new light fixture in my back garage. My mom has prohibited him from using ladders*, so we used step stools. (I’m not gonna tell her that we both used the step stools though.) Working alongside him was so special. Sacred even. 🥹❤️
5yo got her ears pierced this weekend. She’s been interested in it for years. But finding out that it would hurt made her pause. Before the weekend she let me know she was ready.
I made a post on Facebook that said, “Due process, due process, due process” and this screenshot. I got more engagement on that post than typical. One person insists criminal and non-criminal “illegals” are getting due process, but maybe my sources aren’t good.
Sometimes you come home from school and feel inspired to make a dog sock puppet.
I didn’t count on the leaky washing machine and the water that went into the floor cracks and came out the smoke detector below. And I didn’t know that the water would trigger the smoke detector to alarm and make all the connected ones through the house also alarm.
I bought a house. 🎉 Cleaners are coming in about an hour to do a deep clean. So we decided to “house camp” for the night. It was supposed to be a fun adventure.
