Polish conservative politicians have already done that as children. ^^ ("~About the two boys that stole the moon" Jarosław and Lech Kaczyński)
I'm happy to hear that! 😃 20th century American politics, with Nixon, Reagan and others seem interesting. It reminds me of this book, where Thompson followed Nixon on his presidential election tour.
I took a picture of my book piles for a friend who also has problem with rising book piles and no bookcase. ^^ So I thought I'll share it here too. ^^ Sorry for a bad state of the house and the floor. 😅 Most books are in Polish. I guess I should work on an English guide sometime.
I met with a friend today at a local book cafe. 😃 It was nice, the meeting lasted many hours and we had fun talking (and eating ^^). I took a picture of my sundae. ^^
I found a "United we rave, divided we scroll" sticker in the wild. There are many styles. It promotes one of Białystok's music festivals. ("Up to date Festival") @queercoleslaw.bsky.social 😃
More Białystok's stickers in the wild. These were a bit East from the city center. - "7th of June. International animal rights day. Go vegan" - "God forgives. Jaga never" (local football club) - "miautism :3" (cute) [next photo] - "(Socialist Action) Don't tighten your belt! +
Two quite recent modern Polish versions of Grimms' Brothers fairy tales I'm interested in. "Fairy tales for children and home" (left), "They lived long and happily until they died. Unknown fairy tales of Brothers Grimm" (right). The first one is nicely balanced version - not too
I wonder if there's an album like "Addicted to bad ideas. Peter Lorre's 20th century" but with Conrad Veidt instead. He seems hypnotic, oneiric in "The cabinet of doctor Caligari" or "The man who laughs". Also, besides that, "The testament of Dr. Mabuse" seems stunning and +
I've just checked and google tells me this. ^^ Tbh we just bought a new cooker like 3-4 years ago, the previous one came from the times of Polish People's Republic. ^^
I've been searching for Morderchai Gebirtig on BlueSky and found this photo. It reminds me of other similar Polish photos taken during WWII and occupation period, like the one of Polish young poet-soldier Baczyński. It reminds me of Polish reporter's Hanna Krall's +
Time for some anime. Tsukasa from ".hack/sign". Such an intriguing character and series. I should finish it.
It reminded me of this meme. (please don't ban me 😅) But seriously, cute and whimsical. 🙂
Timothy Leary mentioned in "Cyberpunk/Cyberbodies/Cyberspace" as presenting Gibson's "Necromancer" as defining the new paradigma for new epoch. ❤️ I need to read Leary's book on cyberspace.
Woow, I went through my smartphone's library and found so many cool books, dramas (Romantic and Faustus and more). And also... :3
Another banger from the creator of "The killing of a sacred deer" (I hope). It seems like an intriguing, unsettling exploration of our current reality, society and its nature. I need to watch it. (letterboxd.com/film/bugonia/)
That's so interesting. A story idea from Albert Camus' Notebooks, about a man who refuses to justify himself. I think it's a concept of his "Stranger".
Man, Jacques Brel's voice got better, lower, as he aged and he got more handsome too. Lucky. I like his cigarette aesthetics, he reminds me of Camus. I just favorited a bunch of his songs, after listening to him more. ^^
I love Derrida's, also because he's said to name his cat "Logos". ^^ (I know, he's a philosopher)
Most of these. But really, I disliked the forbidding of testing and probing the most. It's like he's inflicting his control, rules more and more and noone is allowed to question him. I dislike how twitter became a far right platform.
Google fit praises me! ("Amazing" is not enough!" "Both goals for today got reached")
Btw regarding Dick, "Stigmata" and "Valis" trilogy (that I want to read) and psychedelic 70s, Leary and Laing. I've read nowadays there's a renaissance of research on psychedelics and their use in psychiatry. I want to read on it. *__*
