SARSCoV2 transmission persists at across England, with ongoing infections, hospital activity and weekly mortality. Aerosol spread in shared indoor air remains the dominant pathway. Mitigation requires engineered ventilation, high‑efficiency filtration, targeted vaccination for vulnerable cohorts.
While we all navigate the daily smog, government and councils overlook policies to reduce particulate matter. These appear to cover industrial emissions and domestic sources contributing to national PM2.5 levels, yet enforcement remains patchy, inconsistent, neglected — and we all feel the impact.
Add in smoke & emissions from industry, commerce, transport, diesel exhaust, brake dust, tyre wear, & the risky domestic uses of fire & chemicals, and the picture sharpens: one atmosphere; troubled unequally, borne most heavily, by those with the least. The atmosphere remembers what policy forgets.
