🧠 Dear #Dementia community the pwd was never Risperidone deficient. There is a treatment period limit on its use for good reason. Most tolerate withdrawal well and don’t experience a return of debilitating agitation which prompted the prescription of risperidone. cks.nice.org.uk/topics/demen...
I’m so sorry to hear that. Glad we have increased awareness of CTE nowadays : chronic traumatic encephalopathy. It is a recognised risk factor for #Dementia and may present with Parkinsonism( not PD). MRI scan may show microhaemorrhages and siderosis aka rust spots, where the haemoglobin decayed.
I often watch the butchers at work in #Harrods for insider tips. Yesterday they were using a flat steel mallet to gently flatten chicken breast slices and veal escalopes, so naturally, I enquired and followed up once I got home… 👀 Yup.
