Writing up my memories of the trip. Reminded of one of my favorite stops - the Shakespeare & Company bookstore. Sometimes you're in a bookstore and just feel the love of books, and that was one. Picked up a copy of @erinmorgenstern.bsky.social's "The Starless Sea" since it's a love story to stories.
We heard this guy singing outside the Catherdral di Santa Marini del Fiore, a cathedral at the heart of medieval Florence.
Your humble host after a long hot day on the island. There was biking and swimming and walking and sweating and almost certainly sunburn and ice cream and I have a cold beer for the ferry ride home.
I did a good chunk of my dissertation on leptoquarks - this would be really fun!
