June Pride Reads TBR went decently well. 2 ebooks borrowed from the library, one personal ebook and one personal paperback. I probably would have read more if I wasn’t juggling three books at a time… Soul Searching and Long Live Evil were both on my 2026 TBR ✔️
A friend shared raspberries from her garden so I made a vanilla cinnamon snacking cake with raspberries and mini chocolate chips.
May reads were all over the place and I was reading multiple books at one time that I’ll finish in June.
Finished DCC4 with 34 minutes left on the library loan. Ending???? I need to take a break and read some other things but also un-suspend my hold on DCC5
Apple Music shows a cloud cover for the non-Kendrick album, birds for the 22 item album.
Oops…only finished two books in April and dnf’d something. But both of these books were on my personal shelf!
None of these were on my author list and we only got to 4 bookstores. But a bunch of new-to-me authors!
Rough reading month with a slump, but two books from my personal shelf (one an ARC), one and a half were physical books (one switched from digital to physical halfway through). And then Carl. All library holds are paused so working through my personal library for April.
February was a mix of library and owned, plus an audio book. Also about to wrap up a physical book, so there was quite a bit of book juggling.
I just took the slip cover off I, Medusa to read and the hardcover is a stunning matte forest green with matte gold flecks and I am in awe. I haven’t started the book and want to throw it at everyone

A very long fantasy novel took a bunch of December, but otherwise a light hearted month. 4 were from my own library, even though some were new purchases.
Finished the two physical non-fiction books in November, and I’m done with non-fiction for the year. Cozy romance and fantasy for the next month, please!
I struggled with October, still not finishing the non-fiction books and read a short story collection through the second half of the month. Three library e-books and one newly purchased e-book.
Made the kiddo a construction themed confetti birthday cake with dirt-colored cream cheese frosting and covered in Oreo crumbs. It was a huge hit and I keep eyeing the leftovers
I ended up on an “AI Haters” block list. Which, valid, but also I could be louder on the AI hate…
September was weird. Three library borrows, two purchases that were mega cheap that would have been 14 week library holds, and an ARC. And two non-fiction monstrosities that are taking their time to be read.
August was a great reading month with ratings, also read 4 from my personal library, 3 from the public library.
Bookstore Romance day success! It was hard enough to pick one book (to limit my physical book library) and then it surprisingly came with a free gift from their ARC and surprise book shelf.

5 books finished in June, and finished Chef’s Kiss on July 2nd. Not as Pride heavy as I was hoping, but it gets read no matter the month.
5 of the 7 books were owned! And three were physical books. Despite the slump early in the month, recovered well and yeah, there were three wolf/werewolf books ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
April was mostly library borrows, but Meegan was from my shelf. I will give myself a pat on the back for reading and finishing a non-fiction though. Just Our Luck was finished last night, perfect timing to round out the month.
