Building up inventory for Who's Yer Con in a month. 5.5 hours into caves and lava flows today. Probably double that again before these two sets are done.

Desna's sock song (volume up). Though she prefers her wool ball now. I hadn't seen it or heard her in a week, so I gave her a sock when I went to bed. She found her ball and sang with it after lights out, then dropped it next to the sock. 🥹

Thermohaline circulation! Easy because I can partially wing it (it'll be partially contingent on the planet's history of continental configuration, which is not set). Hard because I'm making things up off the cuff in a setting is all about scientific accuracy and precision.

Next up: atmospheric circulation! On the left is the cross section through Damso's atmosphere. I'm going for names that do not reference Earth humans like Hadley (and are more applicable as standardized names applicable across the ten worlds), but they're often collectively called Hadley Cells here.

Major latitudinal lines first. They aren't arbitrary! It comes from Damso's axial tilt. Which will have effects on climate, biome, life habits, etc, due to how much energy is making it to the surface, at what angle, and how it's parsed out over the planet's year.

Today is planetary mapmaking day. I'm using the approach from my World Maps class (previously Continents) to build one that makes scientific sense for an @adastragames.com project in their Ten Worlds setting for Attack Vector. Let's go over the drafts of some of the first layers!

Not going through my craft room yet, but this is what was stored in the basement and garage. Can't bring myself to get rid of all the books yet, but this is otherwise what was left after three moves across state lines and moving out of an office for the last time. I feel a bit sick now.
