Touhou Rant time It feels more and more as time passes Marisa is less and less of a protagonist in her own right and more defined by just being Reimus friend I know it's hardly breaking new ground to say Reimu has preferential treatment but I feel like the gap used to be narrower, 1/16

Kosuzu kneels down next to Akyuu who is bed ridden with an illness. Kosuzu has on hand resting on her thigh as she sits with her legs sideways as her other supports Akyuus back, she is donned in the long layered skirt and checker patterned top of her uniform but without her apron in the more casual/supportive context.
Akyuu is without her usual robes and accessories being down to just a plain white Yukata as she lays in a futon. She is holding a cup prepared with hot medicinal teas prepared by Kosuzu, as steam rises from it.
She has distinctive bags under her eyes to highlight she is unwell but still smiles from having Kosuzu's support even in times like this.
Besides Kosuzu is a medicine box and mortar and pestle to suggest she had a part in preparing Akyuu's medicine and is having an active role in supporting her despite Akyuu being a noble with many servants.

It's pride month and there's art to come, but for the first day I'm at work so I'm gonna yap about why I see a view of Akyuu as non-binary is plausible Most notably from her place as the Child of Miare, a line of reincarnation which over the years is very likely to have been a mix of male and female

Y: Reimu Hakurei, disrobe so we may exorcise any potential impure desires from your primitive mind through Satiation.

Panel 4/5 - Reimu's eyes and bow go wide in shock at the implication, before the confusion of the situation sets in and she blushes
R: Haaaah...?
