LFC fan. Love reading horror/sci-fi/fantasy, enjoy writing, movie fan, Warhammer 40k addict, gamer (Bioshock, Silent Hill 2, Alan Wake and Control are some of my favourites) and I adore music, owning way too many pairs of headphones. Can be sweary. 18+
Halo: Campaign Evolved is genuinely good fun, but there are bugs here and there...
BLACK LAKE from Polydin Studio is looking like a really promising cosmic/psychological horror game. I'm definitely curious to see more...and probably scare myself. store.steampowered.com/app/4928600/...
Hokum is one of the best horror movies I've seen in years. It's patient with building atmosphere, Adam Scott is superb in the lead, it has some gorgeous shots and the story had me hooked. Plus, I felt immensely satisfied by the ending, which often isn't the case. We need more films like this.
10. Lamy Dialog 3 I couldn't leave this daring, striking retractable pen off of this list. Twist to open and deploy the nib and the clip closes against the body. The gold nib is sleek and futuristic and the complex mechanism is remarkable. It is a big pen and quite heavy, so not for everyone.
9. Gravitas Ultemate Vac Gravitas pens typically have a very modern, sleek design, and this is no exception. However, it's also made of the rock solid plastic Ultem (which is typically provided in yellow). It has a significantly large capacity and has a really unique look.
8. Asvine C2000 (Ebonite) Asvine make some amazing pens, and this is probably my favourite. Okay, I wish it had a different clip and that the cap was rounded at the top, but the Ebonite body looks fabulous and that massive no.8 nib writes incredibly well. Smooth and has excellent flow.
7. TWSBI Diamond 580ALR I know TWSBI get some hate from certain quarters but I genuinely adore this pen. It feels good, the grip is nicely detailed with grooves to aid you, the ink capacity is massive and the steel nib is top tier.
6. Pilot e95s (Elite) I don't think it's a surprise that Pilot appear again. This pen is compact, light and has a retro charm. The gold, inlaid nib is a beauty and is silky smooth. It's also so satisfying to close. My only grumble is the CON-40 converter, which is the work of Satan.
5. Sheaffer Legacy I think a lot of people worried when Sheaffer was sold once again, but this pen is just astonishing. It is finished to perfection: the body is smooth, comfortable and robust, the chrome accents are precisely placed and the steel nib writes like it's gold. Amazing.
4. Waterman Carène The design screams deco, and that inlaid nib is just beautiful. It writes like a charm, looks beautiful and never hard starts on me. A design classic imho.
3. Kaweco Original 250 This pen is overlooked for no apparent reason. I know people love the Kaweco Sport, but this Original 250 with its larger nib, solid build and satisfying weight just exudes robustness and class. I really enjoy this pen.
2. Lamy 2000 A design icon. This piston-filler encapsulates Bauhaus design perfectly. The Makrolon body is tough as hell and has a pleasing, warm feel and that gold nib just glides across the page.
1. Pilot Custom 823 A vac-filler with one of the most wonderful gold nibs you will ever get to use. It feels perfect in the hand, consistently performs and is just a pleasure to use. It is, however, expensive at around £320.
The humour in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is just about on my level...
I know it's getting criticism from everyone right now and I can't say it's entirely undeserved. The Ferrari Luce's design doesn't hold together, and lacks that desirability and power conveyed through the most classic of Ferrari's designs. It lacks a cohesive language and it feels too gentle.
*coughs* He's completely bat shit crazy. God Bless Donald Trump? I'm waiting for God to send a lightning bolt down on his head. Plus, that picture makes him look even more like a leathery, degenerating stalker who's been repeatedly arrested for flashing his nubbin.
Bought myself a little birthday treat: @tkingfisher.com's 'Wolf Worm'. Will let you all know how it goes!
Can't believe it's been a year since we had to say goodbye. I love you wee bubs, you still mean the world to me. Muffin 07/2004 - 04/2025
So pleased with how this #SpaceMarine2 screenshot turned out. #SpaceMarine #Warhammer40k #SaberInteractive
So, I treated myself to a Lamy CP1 in broad and, wow, I'm blown away! (Pardon the bit of swearing).
I still can't believe the incredible Sam Kieth is no longer with us. His art and storytelling within the pages of The Maxx was nothing like I'd experienced at the time. The inventiveness of narrative and complexity of its characters just left me in awe. RIP.
It doesn't show up very well on my camera, but I mixed my own deep petrol Ink to match my Platinum Procyon because I'm a massive #fountainpen nerd, apparently 😅
Boorman's second best film, only outdone by Zardoz, as a result of Sean Connery's costume.
