"Dylan doesn't win Lotto, but if numbers had been different he would have"
The NZ Muscle saga continues to twist and turn... days after taking over, Dave Letele has turned back.
I haven't read this article, and I'm not going to, because I suspect doing so would dispel my immediate interpretation which was less of a "Tuesday at 9pm" scheduling, and more of a runsheet/agenda sort of scheduling.
It's very hard not to love @doctorow.pluralistic.net when he gets stuck into something. This video really lays out the AI bubble clearly!
Apparently I posted this on Facebook exactly six years ago in the run up to the 2020 election. I have no recollection what the joke was about?
I was feeling tempted this morning thanks to @auntydonnaboys.bsky.social... Hotdog for breakfast?
By far the longest 3D print I've tried personally. Given how many failures I had with the tests before this, I'm not the most optimistic I could be. Fingers crossed.
Why will neither of the local major NZ sort drink bottles license this for the local market?! It's the best drink!
If you see this going around... It's fake. Focus instead on the real horrific shit he does.
There's a video from inside taken by the construction crew, who are, in my estimation, not nearly concerned enough!
What a fascinating list of qualifications. You'd think it probably doesn't capture a lot of people. Even fewer who want to do everything.
Every time I'm at the local library I look to see if my book is on the shelf, and if it's there I secretly move it to their display shelf by the entrance...
Sure is just mindless scrolling... Most of the time. But sometimes the algorithm brings true breakthroughs! 🔊
Here's what Gemini gave me... I actually sort of like it more in that it doesn't scream "I am AI slop" nearly as much. Still inventing a fake Joe though.
Luke might be right here... I thought this level of complexity was beyond simple promoting in ChatGPT but I just tested it with an imaginary lawn care business and got something very similar.
Also the tavern image is just a stylised version of their first Google Images result...
What AI tool is being used for these promotional images? I've been seeing them everywhere. They have coherent text and are usually using sensible imagery, so I don't think it's just a LLM chat bot. Is this Canva or something?
And yes, it did include two other sources in its citation, so maybe you think one of those was the culprit? Nope. One agrees it is 8oz, the other says 7-8oz (maybe more realistic for the time where things weren't really standardised)
The Google AI overview is such a bullshit product "improvement" — it constantly gives incorrect responses, complete with citations... "Oh cool," you think, "it's summarising Wikipedia. That should be a safe bet" Then you look at the source and the AI is straight lying about what it says!
Still a bit tender, but I can't imagine ever regretting my decision. Anyway, better pop over to the BBC site and see what's been going on.
He can just lie blatantly and with impunity, and there's really no consequence. It's beyond clear that no knife was used. And the chemicals were being added by government contractors.
Wow, Gizmodo appears to have been compromised, various parts of the site (including the Search when I tried just now) are serving up fake Captcha compromises!
