Pretty great lineup this year. A healthy contingent of the Athens Psychedelic Society is heading up. We're gonna try to have a local event next year, probably with an ibogaine focus since a couple of our members work with that medicine.
I've been given a unexpected respite from my caregiving this weekend and I'm looking for a ticket for Pearl's Bicycle Day event in Asheville if anyone knows of an extra or someone who has to cancel last-minute. Thanks! Obligatory Veldro pic for attention. #asheville #bicycleday #pearl #avl
My buddy is selling a sweet Jerry Garcia guitar rig starter kit if anyone is thinking of starting a cover band.
Been a while since the thrift gods have blessed me with a painting. I'd say it was well worth the wait for this 3'x3' beastly scene for a mere $4.79!
Glad to make it out tonight to see local heroes Perpetual Groove doing a rare hybrid storytelling/jam show. I've really grown to love their, kind of, arena dub sound lately. Much needed.
A few from my afternoon wander through the park next door. The melt is just as pretty as the snowfall was.
We rarely get snow of any consequence in my part of middle GA so this is a real treat! Forecast says we might hit half a foot if the next band of it moves through just right.
Love these kinds of afternoons. Greyscale and realign as we move into the full moon.
Didn't have any oats, so my improvised peach crumb is lacking in the crumb department, but it is still gonna be tasty as a murph.
Old pic of the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. Apparently, it has one of those awesome spring-loaded dance floors. Gonna be a special pair of shows. Not sure how much of the light rig they are be able to fit in there, though. #bmfs
Here's the legendary Bill Hanley, "the Father of Festival Sound", using one at, I believe, the Sept. 1969 Live Peace In Toronto festival. He also ran sound at Woodstock, but I didn't find a clear pic of it in use there.
Authentic Iraqi Olympic track jacket I scored at the thrift. Only $4.75, since it was half off. One of the weirder things I've found. And I've found some weird shit over the years, lol.
A gorgeous new mural celebrating the great record producer Johnny Sandlin is up in Decatur, Alabama.
