It's been a while! Here's my final project for my #papermaking class! It is handmade #washi, dyed prior to sheet formation and made into a sort of cloth using rhe #kamiko method. I am also embroidering the front with #sashiko. I love how it's finally coming together! #紙子 #刺し子 #和紙

A paper shirt made using the Kamiko method in which I make Japanese paper, washi, apply a starch called Konnyaku, and crumple up the paper once it dries. I had dyed the paper pulp prior to sheet formation. The shirt is machine sewn on a low tension. It is light grey on the top and bottom, as well as the top of the sleeves, with darker paper on the underarms, sides, and in a band across the chest. Darts are sewn across the chest, and I am doing an embroidery style known as Sashiko in dark rusty grey thread on the front.

"You Open Your Mouth" Was feeling sassy after having a rough month, so inspiration struck! Lol This is a #linocut using rubber based ink, and then pochoir for the lettering (I cheated and drew in the face details with my calligraphy pen 🤫). Made on handmade #hanji dyed with gardenia

No art lately because I just recently adopted this baby boy! His name is Calcifer and he is just the sweetest little void. Poor guy has some medical problems from being a stray, but we're getting him all sorted out.

It is studio clean-up day 🫠 This was such a long time coming though honestly. Hopefully it'll be easier/more inspiring to actually do art now that I A. Know what I actually have and B. Dont have to stare at a complete mess everytime

A red splotchy background with gold borders, there is a stained glass window with a gold broken halo around it. This window has pink triangles with blue and pink diamonds between them, and inside the diamonds are red round windows. There is a blue flowering diamond pattern radiating out from the middle. On either side of this window are two golden hands, both with palm up and the index finger pointing down at the winged Aasimar in the middle. The Aasimar, Iannaeus, has a broken black halo around his head with jagged fragments of speckled black and of blue streaked obsidian-like points on the halo. He has dark, ashen wings, and wears a lilac-coloured robe that wraps around his head, tied round his waist, and cascades down. He wears brown roman sandals on his feet and his hands are in a holy-esque pose, but pointed inwards. He has blue splotches on his body and dark freckles.
Below Iannaeus are four green windows with pink interspersed, and red outlines. In front of the windows are two images of his dead lover, Nohra, who is dressed in a green robe that hangs off of the shoulder. On the left, Nohra is in a supplicating pose, representing his begging for mercy before being smited by others on Mt. Celestia, and on the right, Nohra is seen praying, as it was his praying that brought Iannaeus to him.
