'Strangers on a Train,' the book is different than the movie. I like the 'Talented Mr. Ripley' vibes it gives off, also written by Patricia Highsmith. #booksky
Birds are amazing. This is a sock-like nest American Bushtits built and used this spring.
Critical thinking and humor combine well in this fun book. The description of Superman's deadly farts needs to make its way into a movie scene. #booksky
Quite an interesting book about coffee and other plant medicinals. #Booksky
UFO, by @vermontgmg.bsky.social has depth. The topic is so familiar, yet new information is plentiful and substantial. The details are full and amazing. The footnotes are rich. #Booksky
A chicken came to the house yesterday evening and still hanging around.
Cashew cream tomato sauce from the Providence heart clinic recipe collection. #cooking
I dropped off my Oregon primary ballot today. The voters' pamphlet is a good reference and place to make notes.
The recipes at my heart clinic can get into trad wife territory. These breakfast bars I made are tasty. They only have rolled oats, walnuts, dates, natural peanut butter, and maple syrup. #cooking
I made sure I was tested for measles immunity. I am immune. #measles

Gas is $5.30 a gallon at my local Shell station in the Portland, Oregon, area.
Beaverton yesterday. It's smaller than Portland but had plenty of good, positive energy.
Raven Rock is one of the underground facilities built for continuation of government (COG). @vermontgmg.bsky.social wrote this interesting history of COG and the reason for it: the age of nuclear weapons. #booksky
The Hidden Globe' describes how the wealthy (and capitalism) live and operate in the phantom zones between nations. It's fascinating to see the many ways legal fictions allow people and entities to be free of the laws of nations. Even nations take advantage. #BookSky
Lawrence O'Donnell (reading his excellent book) is the perfect narrator. His use of the Boston accent and voicing the characters (real people) brings this to life. #booksky
I'm listening to the audiobook 'The Soul of an Octopus' by Sy Montgomery. Octopuses are amazing. The author's love of them is endearing. This isn't a page turner. The science is too buried in the storytelling. #booksky
I'm listening to audiobook "Nuclear War: A Scenerio" by Annie Jacobsen. It's nightmarish, insane, graphic, and fascinating. #Booksky A nuclear ICBM is launched. All the chapters are minutes from that launch. 72 minutes are reached. Then it's 24 months. And finally, 24,000 years.
