@actionretro.bsky.social inspired by your video on Floppinux, I got my modified Gateway 2000 486DX2-66Mhz system running it off a 2.88Mb floppy image on a Gotek floppy emulator. Extra space allows for a fully featured busybox and more kernel features like networking, framebuffer and ATA support.

Computing setup for tonight

#MARCHintosh stretch goal reached yesterday and I can now share files between my Mac 512Ke over LocalTalk to a RaspberryPi running netatalk and mounting the same file share on my Macbook Pro. #retrocomputing #raspberrypi #livelaughlocaltalk

#MARCHintosh goal for this year is complete. My 512Ke is now joining #globaltalk via LocalTalk (PhoneNET + TashTalk + jrouter) and can mount file shares. I have everything documented and going to write a blog post about the setup and configuration since there's a lot of moving pieces.

Macintosh 512Ke is up and running with a System 6.0.8, FloppyEMU, PicoPSU, TashTalk, RGB2HDMI, PS2 keyboard adapter and original M0100 mouse. Just how Apple intended.

This is the heart of my #MARCHintosh setup for #globaltalk. RaspberryPi 5 4GiB running System 7 in a QEMU VM and jrouter for the Vermilion Sands AppleTalk zone. The TashTalk 2 HAT is connected to Farallon PhoneNET adapters with the hope of bringing my Macintosh 512Ke onto the network.

anyone know why my Macintosh 512Ke CRT has this vertical line? It only appears on the desktop crosshatch, not when a window or other gradients are displayed.
