Step 1: Peel and cut a peach into small cubes, throw in a pan, add a cup of sugar and half a cup of water. Very gently heat until the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool, blend, then strain through a mesh strainer. Step 2: Make peach whisky sours using the syrup. Step 3: happiness

We have to hide treats on the highest possible shelf in our closet to avoid this happening. One of them, naming Cosmo very specifically, attempted to shred open the bag of prescription food, intended for his sister, last week. He is very mad he was discovered. Butter wouldn’t melt.

What a great Father’s day. My beloved really knocked it out of the park. Amazing brekkie in bed-eggs cooked in crème fraiche, plus flowers. Finished grading for my summer class. Finished conference session selection for ASHE. And now have time to bike, read or play vide games. Perfection.

One of the most important takeaways from FAFSA simplification, is that it has meant far more students now qualify for and receive the maximum Pell Grant. That is an incredible win!
