playing through Kingdom Hearts 2 and remembered how much of a Disney Nerd Nomura is; he used a production model sheet of Scar as reference for Red XIII. considering this might've been in 1995, this would require more involvement as a fan than just googling "Lion King Concept Art".

Fun character design notes; Raww's cheek tufts and stripes are in clusters of 3, like the sun beams on the Philippine Flag. His outfit is colored yellow, white, red, and blue, like the Philippine Flag. And his name, Raww, is one letter away from being "Araw", the tagalog word for sun.
It's so great how this impact frame shows him getting the dog kicked out of him lol
