Hate Brexit. Love opera, classical music (adore Beethoven), badgers and foxes.
This is a weird start to my birthday. I am watching Gaelic Football (🤷♀️) and drinking Bucks Fizz.
Badgers, with one of their newest members to the sett, here for supper.
Granddog has been collected by his family. I am glad, for him and for us! He is a very good dog but it was like having a small horse in the house or like having a toddler who couldn’t speak, just whine. I’m most definitely a cat person 😸
Dog sitting the most depressed dog. We, lovely as we are, are no substitute for his family ☹️
We are looking after our grand-dog whilst my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids are off to Italy for a wedding. If Rowan (pictured!) looks worried, someone must have told him we are cat people…….
Favourite image of the Reflecting Pool, from the good old days….
French windows are open so it took badgers a while before they steeled themselves to get their grub. We are watching tv with a backing track of badgers munching (they are really noisy eaters).
btw. Good Morning! London we are in you! Nice view, shame about the hotel.
Just been walking around the part of our garden that “Mother Nature can do as she will”. It is beautiful, I can walk through and believe I am in the wild. Two pyramidal orchids have arrived and I can’t count the number of types of grass.
I think our son and daughter-in-law know us and summed up our marriage!
Ha! Walking around the garden on this lovely evening, caught the badgers (they legged it once they realised I wasn’t on the other side of the french windows)
#Caturday. We don’t even own a cat! Clearly, this beautiful cat likes us and trusted us enough to bring her newborn kittens to us. We thought she had owners but alas, she’s not chipped so we are caring for her until the CPL can rehome her.
I was sitting outside bat watching (yes that’s the best pic I’ve ever got of a bat) when 1st badger arrived without noticing me until I wished him a “good evening” which made him scarper. He’ll be back!
Had the french doors open until a nose appeared in the doorway. We can take a hint. All peanuts and biscuits have gone so he wants a sandwich.
Four badgers here earlier. It’s lovely to have them back regularly after the winter.
He’s just been banging the french doors down to get a peanut butter sandwich. Very difficult to get a good pic as he just wouldn’t keep still! The 2nd pic would be great if I hadn’t cut his nose off…..
