Today we said goodbye to Moose. He was the best guy who: -loved scratches from old men with worn hands -bathed lovingly in the Texas sun -slept in when it suited him -looked forward to Thanksgiving turkey -kept our cat in line -kept perhaps too nosy watch over the neighbors -loved us unconditionally
And don't sleep on the author's photo. David Pawster Wallace is going places.
Oh, we know. And the "temporarily" part is quite optimistic, really.

Immediately made me think of this passage from Grafton's book on footnotes:

Book manuscript turned in. Pommard popped. Almost a full week of rest before the semester ramps up again.
Fresh off the press! Believe the hype. This book is wickedly good. I’m already having a hard time putting it down.
