Recently adopted a pair of 2mo old kitten siblings. I've had cats before, but never kittens. So, I have a lot questions. Here are my top 5: 1. Why are you wet? 2. What are you eating? 3. Is that poop? 4. What even is that & what did it come off of? 5. Where did the other 18 spring toys go?
My cat in the sofa fort he just claimed while I was flipping the cushions to avoid butt dents—trying to fight my Dyson. 😕 Happy Caturday, everyone!
I avoid voice activation too. Nothing I own needs to know the sound of my voice or be 'listening' all the time for instructions/prompts. No Siri, no Alexa, no smart home features, etc. This old tweet is me, also a tech worker:
Anyway, I took care of it. The toy is up & running exactly as advertised. And let me tell you, he f’n LOVES this thing! Best $29.99 I ever spent! 😂 (At least 1 of us had fun, I guess)
So, I gave it to him. *But then I had to take it away almost immediately because he tried to eat it. 😕 (I kept the quarter bc he doesn’t understand money & I’m going to need that for renting shopping carts at Aldi)
Y’all please look at this miniature screwdriver that came with the new interactive toy I bought for my cat. Quarter for scale. I said: “My dude, I think you’re supposed to assemble this one yourself”
Ugh...I never thought about it, but you're right. This is stupid af. I can't even use the top 1/3 of my freezer or it becomes a black hole (not unlike my purse which I think has more cubic feet of space than my freezer). Well, now I'm PISSED!
Well, that's disappointing because I was hoping for a 3-day, 387 post thread on refrigerator construction. I understand tho & am sorry you have to play popsicle roulette at 3am. But I found your stock image & that's a mini-fridge. It's 3.5' tall & has wheels so you can move it to vac. Shenanigans!
Adding: If you look at the company's scores you'll see overall score + scores in each of the 5 categories they are evaluated: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment & Customers. For context here are is the score table so you can tell if a co is falling short or excelling in a particular area.
You can find out more about B Labs here: www.bcorporation.net/en-us/ But, this is basically the bullet pointed version 'mission statement' posted on their site:
My carpet rake is a slightly different design but I can confirm it definitely works on human hair. I use it before I vacuum every time because I have long hair that will get tangled up around my vacuum's beater bar to the point it won't spin anymore, if I don't.
This was a truly fascinating thread! I inherited several books from my grandma that have that look (top/bottom are smooth). Would books from the 1910s to 1940s still need to be cut tho? Also inherited what I thought was the heaviest letter opener ever…and now I wonder if it’s a book knife?
I still think this was one of my most clever stocking stuffer ideas (from a few years ago). Yes, they make tiny tins of those cookies! And the emergency sewing kit + the cookies came out to < $10. So, if you need a budget friendly gift idea, here you go.
I went down that rabbit hole when people were fearmongering about the C19 vax & it is pretty amazing. Here's a timeline I found in a research paper on the history of mRNA that was published in 2019 (shortly before covid hit).
I wasn't one of the people who messaged you about it, but I do see that when I look at your posts or profile. Mine was doing that briefly a while back & it just seemed to resolve itself.
The local chapters do that & they don't ask for money. Here are some examples from emails I've received.
Oh I do. Every single election. Proud to have helped flip those 2 pubic service commission seats in the last one. But, yeah…agree.
I am in a maga suburb of atl, so I can only speak to here. But it's been a good recruitment tool. NK1 we had 2K turnout. NK2 was 7K. They're organized by local Indivisible or 50-50-1 groups. Once you join a group you get local calls to action at least weekly & it varies. Here's 1 that I just got:
They are also distributing food the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month through one of their ministry programs called The King's Table. He's the real deal.
I don’t know what my local PBS station is airing right now but I am totally here for it. Really appreciate the liberal use of green screen.
Y'all this is like a GenX time machine. Hell yeah! *I can't even find the original OP here (maybe they blocked me) & the re-poster doesn't allow quote posts but h/t to both.
Hi! I'm late so I'm here to help fuck up her yesterday from the future. Hope this helps. Keep up the good work & I hope you're not too sore from being tossed like a sack of potatoes by those ICE goons.
For approximately 5 miles I had to stare at young Elon Musk wearing a proud boy (or potential Best Buy employee) named Josh’s ‘uniform’ looking like he’s about to leap onto the hood of my car. Not disconcerting at all. But, hey, they’re hiring if anyone wants to work with (allegedly) Josh. 👀
