One of the best things I have done for myself is buy a cane. It was such a big mental hurdle and yet when I need it, it's made such a huge difference. This weekend being a huge one, where I doubt I would have been able to enjoy the cottage if I didn't have it. Also Bluewater beach is stunning.

I did my Con-G panel and had some fun with the trivia night! I think the panel went well, and the trivia I did WAY better than I expected.

I am on a personal goal to read more published work this year, & randomly had the urge to pick up something I used to love and haven't read in years: The Principia Discordia. I found a copy that actually recreates the scrapbook style typeset & I am being teleported back to high school in delight.

I have been working on reading more published books this year and hate that I'm starting with a DNF but woof this one is rough. I love isekai tropes and wanted to adore this but it's weirdly raunchy in a "dude writing a bi woman" sort of way, and the constant modern colloquialisms make no sense.

It's a little thing to be proud of but I try to be serious about my panels and part of that is making sure I can always connect so I bring my own adapters... It's rarely needed but when I do need either one they're a lifesaver.

Been a bit quiet because I went through a root canal AND a cancer scare all at once. Joyful. I am doing much better now, though broke from dental stuff and behind on things as I spent the last two weeks in pain and panicking. It's going to be an interesting December as I try to catch up!

Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse is surprisingly good and I feel like a lot of people might miss out because it appears to be typical shonen isekai slop with higher than usual production. It still needs to stick the landing but I am genuinely pleased by how often it has surprised me.
