Elite Grifters
@elitegrifters
Trying to keep elite grifter politicians, journalist, the rest of their class honest or at least letting people know when they are not honest. DMs open for tips.
Abdul El-Sayed supporters say that connections to Nazi-saluting Elon Musk are bad, so surely El-Sayed isn't on his Nazi-friendly X. Oh, he is. Oops.
Very different messages on ICE from two Michigan Bernie Bro candidates today. Abdul El-Sayed: "Abolish ICE." William Lawrence: "ICE must be held accountable for its lawlessness." El-Sayed is running for a Democratic held Senate seat and Lawrence is running for a Republican held House seat.
She also posted a video where Bernie Sanders appears to be talking about Dan Osborn. Daniel Moraff is in the background.
Here is a photo posted last year by Dan Osborn's daughter Georgia with Daniel Moraff and Bernie Sanders. One of the other people appears to be Osborn's wife and maybe another is his other daughter. www.instagram.com/p/DIZPSB0OyAt/
David Sirota lying about how Graham Platner won the Democratic primary. He wasn't unknown once the political & media establishment started heavily promoting him.
Is this a fake Adam McKay on Substack or did he forget how to capitalize his own name? If it's real, he fell for what looks to be a fake news thing about Mark Ruffalo. Criticizing a news outlet while falling for fake news is very on brand for a certain type of person.
Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren got asked about their support of Graham Platner.
"Indivisible is backing candidates who refuse to take money from dark money groups like AIPAC" Indivisible is the same kind of dark money group as AIPAC, a 501(c)(4). Indivisible Action is a hybrid PAC, so a super PAC. These people have no shame.
Morris Katz was a very public surrogate for Graham Platner. Who would even know who Eric Swalwell's consultants even are. Katz is an ad guy. Platner's campaign spent more on advertising than the establishment candidate, Janet Mills, spent in total.
Joy Reid was on a major news network for years. Does she really not understand that Joe Manchin was one person and not Democrats in general?
An "anti-establishment" movement led by a guy who has been in Congress since 1991.
Connecticut gubernatorial candidate Josh Elliott says he is a Fight Agency client. www.instagram.com/reel/DZ2wcdQ...
Yet another Bernie Bro has a campaign ad emphasizing he has been endorsed by Bernie Sanders (and mentioning no other endorsements). But don't call them "Bernie Bros" we are told.
Person thinks that a website that doesn't show what billionaires have donated to campaigns is somehow proof that someone hasn't taken money from a billionaire. We politely responded and they blocked us.
David Dayen claims that the candidate that is trying to take away local communities' control on an issue is the one running on "hyperlocal issues," while the other candidates are "running nationalized races."
David Dayen is okay with fake AI imagery. A Democratic candidate does criticize it. And then he claims "Democratic candidates have been told this year not to raise the ire of powerful AI firms."
More of the Bernie Bro polling game. First say that the Bro candidate is leading and then say the polling not showing the Bro leading "feels like an outlier," so says David Dayen. Then have someone who has endorsed the Bro candidate provide analysis of the proclaimed winning.
The text of the post says that Bridget Brink's campaign "has received thousands of dollars from donors connected to data center developers." The text in the video says: "Brink has taken thousands of dollars from data center dark money." Candidates can't even take dark money!
Nothing says centrist like pointing out that people are elites. Do these people think this stuff through?
Why ever would someone attack Bernie Sanders over Graham Platner? (He isn't a DSA candidate, though.) Oh, and someone writing in German.
William Lawrence is being supported by multiple groups with super PACs and this dark money group too. One of the board members of the dark money group is a Democratic Party insider, as they are a state party head, the head of the association of state party heads, and a Vice Chair of the DNC.
This was a reply on a Bernie Bro candidate's post. There are plenty of people outspoken in favor of Bros that are not even in the US.
He did the Nazi salute in 2025. What you linked to says she had taken money from people connected to SpaceX "between 2019 and 2024." We didn't say it was good or bad; it's just facts. Abdul El-Sayed's Senate campaign got a max donation from someone connected to Tesla.
Here is an example of how polling is being used misleadingly by Bernie Bros to push their candidates. Qasim Rashid says that "all the polling shows that [Abdul El-Sayed] is the favorite". The poll shown shows him leading the Republican by 1 and Stevens losing by 1. The margin of error is 4 points.
The bold progressive message that appeals to the likes of, Rebecca Traister, who is an elite who recently moved to Maine. It was very much about Graham Platner, per Traister. nymag.com/intelligence...
Ruben Gallego forgot about sending people who pretend to be working-class. Has he already forgotten about Graham Platner?
Graham Platner won the Democratic primary in part by appealing to elites who recently moved to Maine. Those are not the people that a Democrat needs to appeal to, to win over Susan Collins voters who also voted for Biden in 2020.
