Colour alert! This is not a drill! We have colour on a tomato!! Initiating ripeness watch protocol.
Oh look, an official email from the Canada Revenue Agency! This is definitely how they always look, and of course they use the email address with my family nickname. I'll be sure to click the big blue button below this text and scan & upload my driver's license and passport at the "secure portal."😎
Viola is EXTREMELY certain it's time for me to call it a day. #StetPet
From the menu at our local Middle Eastern place. (Comes to about 82 cents per falafel if you buy 12, but about 94 cents each if you buy 20. We usually buy two of the dozen.)
Happy Indie Bookstore Day! Feeling so appreciative that my town of 5,000 people has such a store. (Pushkin is the store cat. He loves a stroller!)
On my way to Toronto for a social with students and fellow instructors in the Publishing Program at TMU. Feeling the weight of my responsibilites as an emergency-exit-seat occupant -- and pleased it's an old-school setup with a little red hammer. 😀
Small pleasures--getting ready to make egg salad and taking a moment to appreciate the eggs I hard boiled to dye on Easter and then decided not to bother dying cuz my eggs from Farmer Jennifer are so pretty just as they are. (Also cuz I felt lazy, lol.)
Happy Caturday from Snug and her Uncle Bear, whom she really admires and likes to emulate. Can you tell?
Ooh, I am the official Designated Window Exit volunteer in case of train emergency! I told the staff person who asked me I had had the spiel before but on an older train car model, and she clearly knew my type: "Ah, well, it's very similar but there's no little hammer on these so it's not as fun." 😎
OK, I know kings are a touchy subject these days, but it DOES amuse me to sign a contract with one every time I teach a workshop for a federal government team. Also, you have to love a "therefor." 😎
This is a CAT checkpoint. Show the most recent cat photo on your phone.
It was yet another frigid day here, perfect for sunbeam snoozing. The sunbeam covered Henry's bed perfectly for a while this afternoon and then when it moved on Snug was ON IT. #Caturday
Really, Globe and Mail? Minneapolis is shut down in the most impactful protest *in a century* and your only mention of Minnesota shows near-empty countryside with the *epitome* of literal "both sides"-ism?
Gorgeous! We had a lovely sunny afternoon and my husband and I walked with Henry to the fancy hotel on Main Street for a mocha & snack (us) and lots of admiration from passers-by (Henry). #stetwalk
I dunno, it seems to me that Sharyn Alfonsi got the principles on the record pretty clearly.
The rumors are true! The hotel on Main Street lets you come in with your dog to get food and drink at the cafe if you take it to the hotel lobby half of the space to consume it. Makes for a nice break on a chilly #stetwalk. 😀🐶
Woah, this podcast scratched so many of my itches! 😀 I am pretty sure what I read was this hardcover. (I don't have it, bc it belonged to my older sister -- who failed to appreciated it sufficiently, but nevertheless strictly enforced her authority over my access to it in our shared room.)
Ooh, it's in Heather Cox Richardson's "Letter from an American" today!
