Sure. All software companies are commercial enterprises built on open source work. Open source work can use more funding and resources, but freely building on other people's work in software is healthy and GOOD. That's how we can build, and innovate, and fix bugs.

I've worked with the best...

...and they were firmly pro-open source because they regretted having their hard work locked up in old companies and old IP. They wanted to be able to keep working on their projects even if the company tanked.

You need to learn the basics of the industry before you start advocating on our behalf. That's the job of a good representative.

(And we don't call ourselves "coders".)

Also got a good start on this piece yesterday. More moonstone! All stainless (except the bulky heart claps at the end which are just to hold it still while I'm working). This one moves really nicely. Haven't decided whether it'll be a head piece or a necklace yet.

An in-progress chainmail necklace. Larger rings form a V at the center with small moonstone drop beads to accent the larger captive moonstone beads further up the chain on either side.
