I love that the title for this anthology ended up being "Why Aren't You Dead Yet?" since that's more or less what all of society is asking Eric*, the protagonist of my story, "Reduce, Reuse". *Did I have to double-check my own protagonist's name? Maybe. He was renamed... several times.

I'm pleased to announce that "Reduce, Reuse", also known as my "Hi I have Some Opinions about society's approach to Medical Assistance in Dying" story, is coming out in the Disability in Dystopia anthology in May of this year! #CrippingDystopia

I don't know how everyone is making their awards eligibility graphics look so nice, because this took me about an hour. Anyway, here are my awards-eligible stories from 2025.

Tumblr post (from me) reading, "the hot new thing in town is linguistic worldbuilding everyone loves linguistic worldbuilding surely linguistic worldbuilding is easy to understand and intuit and does not need to be explained and all the magazines love linguistic worldbuilding even in flash stories and there is no such thing as too many conlanged proper nouns". I spent more time on this than I care to admit. This isn't even for a BOOK; "Deadname" is just a unpublished longish short story that's been eating my brain for a few years now.

Whew, there we go! Just barely finished my #novemberwriting or NotNoWriMo or whatever you want to call it.

A LibreOffice calc sheet showing my attempt to write 50k words in the month of November. The graph shows expected wordcount vs. actual and shows me just barely exceeding 50k on the last day after some wobbling. Stats on right show I wrote 50,135 words.
