Last night I saw Bad Cop / Bad Cop (SoCal feminist punk, on Fat Wreck Chords). They were great as usual 😎 The opening band was Pretty Bitter, from D.C. They were good, and I loved their guitarist's amplifier! 🏳️⚧️
My son and I saw all 8 episodes of Spider-Noir over the weekend. Based on the trailer, I had high expectations, but they were exceeded 😮 * The cinematography was incredible. Light & shadows told much of the story, and there were plenty of "Dutch angles" and other nods to classic filmmaking. 1/3

Not a book, but this album is sacred to me. It's a masterpiece of hardcore punk, flaws and all. To make it extra fancy, I'd insist on an original Unicorn/SST Records vinyl pressing, as shown below.
