Human Intersectional London and Milton Keynes by way of Bumpkinland
I saw so much Halloween gubbings in the shops this weekend I thought I was going mad. 🎃👻🕸️💀 It's July!!! Is there a planet-ending meteor due to strike in September, so stores need to shift their inventory now?
Blippo+ is very very odd (laudatory). I'm wholly appreciating the bananas eccentric approach to entertainment - using a games console to approximate the 1990s style cable TV of an alien planet. blippo.plus
"Man, this place looks expensive. I feel like I’m wasting a fortune just standing here. Well, better make the most of it." It's hard to explain how truly mind-blowing, and weird, it was to see 3D IMAX of The Simpsons, Antz and the Pet Shop Boys was at the turn of the century.
Going to argue, as a British dyed-in-the-wool Red Sauce fan that Stokes' Tomato Ketchup beats Heinz hands down. However, it is more expensive, so if the options are supermarket or Heinz, go for the Heinz.
Clear concise messaging helps everyone. Ten words on a hazard tape acknowledges the problem, informs it has been seen by those responsible, and shows the intent to clear it. • The Parks Trust Milton Keynes • Aware and working on it Great work 💚 Only the addition of braille would make it perfect.
Not surprised as Brit. The "far left" in the USA is equivalent to the moderate centre-left in the UK
Meanwhile in the UK... things that aren't politics or football! Yes a Brit is talking about the weather again! 🌞🥵
Post one (1) photo of a painting that you took with your very own hands.
That looked so much better when it appeared to have a white background instead of transparent
Habe been playing The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe 🤓 Won it twice in a row off the bat, just to see if it was possible. Since then it's gone batshit bananas, in the most endearingly bonkers fashion. Very much an homage to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in its wobbly logic. Perfect 😃
If Threads can do it, @bsky.app can too. UX 🏆 This is the single most pleasing update to a social platform I have seen in years. 🥳 Stops you losing your place when the feed auto refreshes.
Gonna show my age now, but where's my Teletext Bamboozle! people at? For those outside of the UK, this was our internet long before the Information Superhighway promised us a future of wonder and opportunity. Essentially a magic book riding on the television signal.
Another point is that the UK is at a much higher latitude than many realise. High temperatures hit very differently when the days are long and the nights are increasingly short.
33°C (91.4°F) in May. In the UK. This is what we would expect in a particularly hot August 🥺
