my slimevr trackers arrived on the weekend and i finally got them working with my vr setup on linux... well the tracking is a bit weird and for some reason i sink and float into the ground, but i blame myself for probably mis-positioning the trackers or not calibrating properly. but they work!!~

I'm ready for a workout 🤸

A character reference sheet of Emm Kaede's new model. It depicts Emm more closely to his original design, but dressed as a mage or wizard. He has a large purple mage hat, with a maple leaf sitting on it's rim. Emm has larger ears that point up. He wears a black cropped top, and a purple cropped tailcoat that is held together with a bone accessory. His hands have beast-like claws. His midriff is exposed. He wears two brown belts on his waist. One holds a book on his left hip, and the other holds 3 potion-like flasks. The belts cross over each other near his left hip. Underneath the belts he weares dark gray short-shorts. On his left leg, he has another black belt strapped around his thigh, causing it to squish his thigh, and a short brown leather boot. On his right leg, he wears a thigh-high leather boot.

Following the flow of the reference sheet, starting on the left, 4 of Emm's expressions are shown. In order, Emm is shown being: Angry, Scared, In Love (with Heart Eyes), and Excited.

From left to right, Emm is seen from a side view, then a front view in an A pose, wearing his mage hat. Next is the mage hat itself shown from the front and back, then an A pose of Emm without his hat.

Next is his magic staff, which is a wooden staff with a golden head shaped like a octagonal gate, a light blue crystal hovering in it's center. A dark blue crystal sits on the very top, and a chain is connected near the bottom of the gate holding another red crystal.

Finally, Emm is shown from behind, showing his long hair and large fluffy tail.

here were some of my favourite practice/learning sketches of the bunch

4 sketches of thighs and booty of varying quality in a loose grid formation, all of which have study lines and shapes inside the subjects to help guide the drawings.

Top left is from a 3/4 view of the front with the thighs pressed together and angled as if sitting.

Top right is a from below view of a booty as if viewing from below someone's seat.

The final two are of similar viewpoints from behind, showing the booty from behind, one raised higher than the other as the subject bends forward more, and one from a lower angle looking up at a standing subject.

I just tested Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with this update and it's so much better. The visuals are clean and I didn't notice any ghosting or downgraded resolution at all during my short test, and it ran buttery smooth! What a great update. Some comparison shots. (Hard to tell with Switch compression)

Rex, the main character, is standing on the back of a giant beast in a cloud sea, looking at a King Crustip, a blue lobster enemy who's ready to fight.

The aliasing is rough and the game has a strong sharpness filter on top of all of the visuals, with a lot of model detail lost due to the resolution being lower.

It's the same image as the previous one, though the image is a lot clearer, edges of models are smooth, and you can see a lot more finer detail on textures and models. There's also a lack of a sharpening filter on the screen.

It's a wide camera shot of a vast cloud sea, with the beast Rex is riding in the center of the shot, floating in the clouds. The beast has a small shelter built on it's back, and a large crane hanging over is rear.

There's a subtitle on screen that reads: "A sea of clouds, and at its heart, the World Tree, piercing the heavens..."

Same situation as the first image, where the aliasing is rough, a sharpness filter overlays the entire image, and some lighting detail is lost.

I also have doubts this is just "lighting calculations" being done to do these effects. There's no way, no fucking way, that "advanced lighting calculations" give these characters extra fucking makeup, or change the shape of their facial features entirely. Fuck off.

The Grace on the right side looks extremely different, has different shaped lips that are thicker and less wide horizontally, a slightly open mouth, and her eyes and brow are shaped differently, with her eyes looking in a completely different direction.
