Reply from same author: I am serious. The Guard literally just stood there, squared up to ICE: "You don't get to touch them."

But with us protestors, they let their guard down. They were paying attention - not on autopilot - reading the room, noticing fear, cold, and exhaustion, then responding with food, warmth, eye contact, and respect. Their smiles and nods said: "I see you. You matter. You're not alone."

Seeing strength used as a shield instead of a weapon was incredibly moving.

Several commenters cited occupant weight as a reason why the maximum takeoff weight limit should be removed. One commenter stated an increased weight allowance is more realistic and will improve safety given heavier individuals, luggage, and a desire for extra fuel for wind or weather purposes. Another commenter noted challenges in accommodating themselves, fuel, and a designated pilot examiner given weight limits. EASA, AOPA, NATA, NBAA, and GAMA commented that the weight restriction has caused numerous unintended consequences including concerns about minimal useful load and resulting pilot and passenger size limitations. Finally, another commenter favored weight limits that would allow two full sized adults.

Soo uhhh. I think Cross the Pond and Deltas for Dummies are going to be a little more exciting than normal. Just glanced at Skyvector to see what my ATIS should read and saw this:

VFR Sectional of the Nantucket area. Nantucket is in the bottom right. The left third of the map is entirely engulfed in moderate-to-severe precipitation per a doppler RADAR overlay. All airports west of Nantucket are various degrees of IMC.

🧵 1/ Kurt actually fails to capture the true evidence in support here. This is the S&P 500 ETF for the full YEAR prior to election day, basically the last year of the Biden presidency and therefore the dominant indicator of what four years of that produced:

Weekly chart of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF [SPY]. The chart displays from early October 2023 to present day. A strong upward trendline is drawn using the three most dramatic drops that featured recoveries. The most recent four weeks dramatically break that trendline to the downside. Volume declines throughout the period until the most recent four weeks when it spikes concurrently with the trendline breakdown.

Two customers so far this morning. LYM556 is a Vans RV-10 VFR with flight following from Barnes to Worcester. The blue tag was a Piper Warrior headed from Bradley to Hanscom. He's talking to somebody else at this point, which is why he's blue.
