No fighting for a car parking space for me 😁 Car park rammed already when I arrived at 6.45am, everyone wants to be on the beach today.

My robins are raising a second brood in their nest! 😍 Last time I was able to check there were two eggs, but the parents are constantly there lately, taking in turns, so I think maybe they've hatched or nearly? I can't tell you how happy these little guys make me!

Spotted on my travels this morning. I've seen this guy riding around town but this was the first opportunity I've had to take a picture. He came back and we had a nice chat, he said his little business is doing really well 😊

What I wore on my bike today to do the food shop: New socks! 😁 I love these. According to my 12-year old, trainer socks are a complete no-no nowadays and ankle socks are in? 🤷 #bikechic

Finally: going by bike meant it was easy to swing past my favourite bakery on the way home (again, wouldn't have done that if I'd been in the car) and pick up an almond croissant. Which I am now enjoying back in my lovely garden 😊 #smug

The weather turned over night and a cooler front has come through, thank goodness! It might even rain a bit this morning, although as I sit here it seems to be brightening up again. There's a good sea swell though, I hope people stay safe. Also: goats 😁

I just really fancied a paddle in the sea this morning. I would never have done this if I didn't have a bike - a 10 minute paddle wouldn't be worth it if I had to faff about with the car, finding parking etc. #bikeisbest

How cool that I can just get up in the morning, make myself a cup of tea, jump on my bike and 15 mins later be at Bournemouth beach?

As a comparison, this is the same road before the changes. A really bad shared footway on one side, very wide carriageway lanes and not enough crossings. Now all modes have their own space.

The next stage of one of our local sustainable travel corridors is almost complete, and I'm excited 😊

Up and out at 5am so me and the hound can make use of the only usable part of the day until much later. Very pleasant...at the moment!

On a scorching day like this, the parking spaces that are shaded fill up first. People cross over to walk on the shady side of the street. As our climate hots up, we desperately need more trees!

Sitting in the early morning quiet and mizzle, with a cup of tea. Enjoying the peace and hoping to catch a glimpse of my robins who I think may be preparing for a second brood 😍
