You are entitled to your own opinion, NOT your own facts. Misinformation is the greatest threat we face: it allows the powerful to manipulate the gullible into doing their bidding. Turns out there are a lot of gullible people.
Where do the people who don’t ‘believe’ in science, think the 1,100 billion extra metric tons (gigatonnes) of carbon dioxide went exactly?
What happens when the government is no longer being funded by fossil fuel interests, but instead focuses on security of supply and reducing long-term costs for consumers.
“Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects,” it says on this can of fly spray. Doesn’t say it on the stuff you put on your pets though, even though it’s the same chemical. Please keep your dogs OUT OF RIVERS AND PONDS. Don’t care if it’s hot, you’re killing the wildlife.
That’s us. All of us, on that pale blue dot suspended in space. There’s nothing else, nowhere else to go. So why are we letting our home, our life support system, be destroyed by corporations who only care about money? Even though they have nowhere else to go either.
The jet stream (high up air current) kept our weather patterns fairly stable and reliable but, since the 70s, due to the effects of global heating on the Arctic/Antarctic, the northern jet stream moves northward at about 2 km per year, allowing hot air to travel further north and get “stuck” there.
We’ve heated up the Arctic/Antarctic so much that the difference in temperature between the poles and the equator has shrunk. Unfortunately for us, that temperature difference is what held the jet streams (fast moving air currents) stable, but now they’ve moved north and become wavy. Climate chaos!
The extra energy we’ve added to our warming atmosphere holds more moisture and fuels more frequent/extreme weather events, such as our current thunderstorms. It also causes the currents of air (ie.jet stream) and sea (ie. gulf stream) to move, changing established patterns of weather FOREVER.
He was a highly intelligent humanitarian who had studied nuclear physics. The human race is moving backwards.
They can’t. Only a far right candidate can quiet the bots and the offshore media billionaires.
Turn product around. Read ingredients list. If you can’t spell it or can’t pronounce it, it’s almost certainly not food.
Thinking of heading away from the city for a welcome staycation? Here’s a handy guide, just for you…
UK support for Ukraine me proud. Putin’s mate, Farage, makes me ashamed of my country.
This is really chilling. The US president is actively removing media and political voices that dare speak out against his dangerous, illegal and erratic policies. And no one is stopping him
“No Mow May” has been very pleasing: particularly love the speedwell. Perhaps I’ll keep the mower in the shed a bit longer.
And a random million to “The Office of Boris Johnson Ltd”.” Why is somebody who lives in Thailand allowed to buy our politicians?
In 2022, Christopher Harborne (deals in aviation fuel, private planes, crypto and armaments) gave £1m to “The Office of Boris Johnson Limited,” which was then the largest ever donation to a British politician. Wonder why?
Perfectly normal and obviously safe around children 🙄 Also a plagiariser.
Money that governments have, comes from taxation. The people governments tax and the way they allocate tax revenues tells you who and what a government prioritises. Unfortunately billionaires own the media and they HATE paying taxes, so you will only ever hear that taxation is A BAD THING.
My priorities don’t align with those of the people in charge and, as many of them are oligarchs rather than elected politicians, there’s nothing I can do about it. That’s depressing.
