I unfortunately won't be able to attend this launch as I'll be working, but if you're in Colorado and happen to be free on a Friday morning you should totally stop by Vision Comics in Littelton and pick up the latest edition of their anthology (I've got a short story in it)!

My favorite OC has to be Iceskater- I created her as a rough around the edges veteran to give me a somewhat cynical "rebel without a cause" pilot for Hellcats. She is very much the soul of the series to Vulture's (red helmet) heart and they are my favorite tandem!

My newest original character is Cherry Bomb, a super powered indie wrestler who will be showing up in XWL, fittingly enough starring one of my oldest original characters Kyle Eastman (Kyle i drew all the way back in 2004- a phrase that really makes me feel OLD)!

Kyle Eastman (arms raised) is my oldest by date of creation, I first drew him all the way back in 2004! John Smith (holding the passport) is my oldest by age and he is... the exact age is a secret for now but let's say John has shook hands with MANY presidents.

A folding hand truck dolly if you n don't already have one, they fit neatly under any table and are very helpful for moving stuff around.

Got to see a wrestling show last night and was able to sit really close to the ring!

Another Fan Expo Denver in the bag! Besides meeting some cool guests I got to catch up with several friends, buying their prints and books. It's always a revitalizing experience and I'm looking forward to next year!

I could have a field day making a story with Ghoul from the Malibuverse- if only Marvel were interested...

Saw The Mandalorian and Grogu today. A fun little side story in the greater Star Wars universe that doesn't require any homework on the Disney+ show to enjoy. If you're looking for an old school adventure style movie, this is the way.

Maureen McIntosh aka The Beaver is a 15 year old superhero out of Fort McBurney in rural northern Minnesota. When she's not busy missing the bus because she was too busy helping the local wildlife she's desperately trying to get her town to take her small town heroics seriously.

Saw Hoppers today. Pixar delivers a well executed scifi adventure that has some laughs, danger, and heart for a well rounded story. If you miss old school Disney where villains suffer fatal consequences, you'll enjoy this (heads up though, if you have little kids this film gets kind of intense).

Tonight felt like an episode of chopped: I had a zucchini, a yam, some broccoli, a green bell pepper and some rice. Somehow this was going to be dinner. So I steamed the rice, baked some veggies and pan friend the rest. I am very happy with how this improvised meal turned out.

Did a one off dnd session yesterday and it not only felt great to roll some dice again, it also gave me a good source of inspiration for sketching

As a kid I prominently remember seeing this game at various Chuck E. Cheeses and similar establishments. Still baffles me how an entire company drew concept art, then built mockups, produced these machines, ran ads for establishments to buy them, and at no point did anyone say "HOLD ON A SECOND".

I drew Vulture and Iceskater wearing these outfits based off a ludicrous prompt but their eye contact and hand holding I think came across as very sweet.

Vulture (brunette) has both her parents, her father is a former career star force pilot himself who also went to the Star Force Academy, so she's constantly trying to live up to the family name. Iceskater (blonde) hasn't spoken to either of her mothers on Venus since joining the Star Force.

I don't often do challenges like this for OCs, but this one I couldn't resist doing for Vulture and Iceskater. Personally I think these outfits capture their personalities near flawlessly. Overall I had fun with this one.

Iceskater (blonde) totally wings it assuming she even sets foot inside a grocery store (her idea of "cooking" is a microwave meal that has to be stired between cook times). Vulture (brunette), is a thorough browser who will examine all the produce for the slightest defect, her shopping list is law.

I wasn't reading too many comics at the time (had some Ultimate Xmen and Ultimate Spiderman around that time), but when this incarnation of Teen Titans hit I was instantly hooked, and to this day this series holds a special place in my heart and a profound influence on my style.

Onto something a little less intense, read the first two of issue of this series. The 2nd issue I think really gets the ball rolling, but I can't help but read the voices of the possessed Arthurian weapons in their corresponding Monty Python versions. Fun read though and definitely age appropriate.

Another year, another Phoenix and Psylocke. Just like this sketch, mistakes will get made in 2026: things will get messy and it won't be perfect- but there can be joy to be found in the process, in learning something new, and sharing it with friends and loved ones. #happynewyear
