As I’m interested in edible flowers, I am curious what people would think if a catnip flower turned up in their cocktail. Thoughts? The bees love them!
Looks like it’s time to harvest some Swiss chard and some male squash flowers (since I don’t have any viable females to pollinate). The last time I made squash flowers I stuffed them with goat cheese and gave them a sear in the pan to close them up. They were bomb! #gardening #cooking
Fun time tonight in Dorchester for the Cape Verde / Uruguay game. I would guess that the Uruguay goalie can’t be happy with his decision to come out of the box on that second CV goal. There was a lot of action throughout! ⚽️
I found aphids on my cosmos this morning. 🤦♂️ I knew when I saw a beautiful yellow lady bug on them the other day that it was probably there for a reason. 🐞 They love eating aphids! #gardening #lifeofagardener
I think the tomatoes got some transplant shock. But, otherwise, the garden is looking pretty good. I’ll have some Tidy Treat tomatoes soon. 👍#gardening
Edible flowers that look pretty & can be used in the cooking/garnishing process sorta fascinate me. This is sage & radish flowering. One is an herb and one a vegetable. Both such beautiful flowers. #gardening
I had my first bounty from the garden yesterday with the fam. I think I may have pulled these radishes a bit early. But, they were tasty. The wife won’t eat the greens for some reason, but I think they’re good. #gardening
I think this pot is ready to go outside. It’s tomatoes and I believe that is an Anaheim pepper. The tomato is already flowering. 🤙 #gardening
The Red Kings are looking good. I think some rabbits are nibbling on the Daikons. I’m considering some garden fencing. I also planted some beans where the radishes didn’t come up. The season is here! #gardening

The worms got another nice feeding today of ground egg shells and frozen rotting vegetables. In the first pic, I dug a hole into the center. Feels like all castings down there. I also pulled up a bunch of baby worms! 🪱 #gardening

My tomatoes are a bit behind this year. But, they look healthy and it’s not like New England is going to warm up anytime soon. #gardening
The Black Hungarian Peppers are really popping (indoors). According to Google, it’s best to harvest these peppers when they are a deep, dark red. I’m not positive what that will actually look like, but I guess I’ll wait and see! 🤷♂️😆 #gardening

My worm castings are finally coming along. When I reach down to the bottom and pull up, they’re starting to take shape. I was concerned that it was taking a while. But, it seems the worms are healthy and multiplying rapidly. #gardening
