Logismoi and Goodbye by Daddy_Daimion are two sides of the risks that come on the heels of desire.

Logismoi is a slow ramp up in intensity, a session broken down into parts and showcased through the lens of sins committed in the process of connecting, messily, with another person just as broken as the narrator, but in a way that works as puzzle pieces slotted together. I read these recently and they both resonated with me to a somewhat uncomfortable degree, but in a way that was deeply fulfilling. It was exciting to read the flip side of my own thoughts and interests done in such an easy to connect with way.

one is languishing largely unread in letters and transcripts, the other is suffering in Non-erotic, not because it's poorly written, it's anything but, but because it hits a nerve that evokes strong emotions from people who have likely been on either side of this depiction of self harm with splash damage.

You're gonna get torn to shreds in this category because it was HOT, and because it was complex, and because most people here hate both those things. But there are some of us who want the mess and this is beautiful mess.

It's also *hard*.

Like, I had to REALLY trust that you hadn't omitted a key tag to make it through to the end. I was quite worried about potentially violent outcomes—or worse, lethal outcomes that weren't particularly violent. A slip on impulse, sinking back into the void. The writing was right on the edge of death. Haunting.

And the characterization of Dean... the way so many dudes truly do act well to lock in mom wives, it's so real it's so gross it's so hard. But then the added dimension of the nonethical nonmonogamy with Megan—which really can't be called anything else, IMHO—ugh, GUTTING.

This is an incredibly complete and well-done story. You've got the heat, you've got the chill, you play with time to present things in a compelling order... Yeah this is the real deal. 5 stars, no question. Thank you for sharing!

There was a palpable sense of growing dread, a deep unease that made so much of the story feel skewed. Despite the raw depiction, brave and relentless as it is, I was still holding me breath through the last half. The blatant arrogance of Vaughn and Dean was suffocating in their final exchanges but there something magic happening in between. In the room neither are granted access to, Grace reclaims that vital piece, or maybe even truly sees it for the first time. Regardless, every single word has lead to this point.

Grace, finding her voice and will. Choosing herself.

The relief I felt with that final paragraph, God, it's hard to even describe.

One hell of a ride.

Well Lizz, this was incredible. I loved the story from end to end. It bumps you at each turn of the plot with a rock cold punch of reality, romance is there awaiting for rather cheating its way through the weakness of the characters. That's a serious story Lizz. A book.

The narrative here walks a razor's margin and yet fully succeeds in so many ways. Best of all, it left me wanting to know more, about them, about her personalities, about how this came to be, and what came after.

Something I've been finding fascinating over @gettheoreads.bsky.social is the author analytics section. They are still in soft launch right now, but the site is looking fairly promising as an alternative to Literotica. Completed reads will be implemented at some point, but this is close. #writing

A chart of Readers who have exited a story they opened on Theo Reads. This chart shows 6 exits to Tainted Love at 100% completion, 3 Exits to Cherry's Jubilee at 100% completion, and one exit each to Cherry's Jubilee at both 10% completion and 90% completion.

The site is currently not fully launched, so these reads are most likely being completed by other authors rather than only readers, but it's still interesting how this will go once the site is fully operational and begins advertising itself to readers of erotic literature.
