Book 42 of 2026: “The Names” by @florenceknapp.bsky.social My word, what a debut. I’m so glad the book club found this one. I didn’t know it was a Sliding Doors (it says it on the back, but I try to go in as ignorant as possible), but that was far from the last delightful discovery. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Book 41 of 2026: "Saevus Corax Gets Away With Murder" by "K.J. Parker" (Tom Holt) (Corax Trilogy #3). Evoked the Engineer Trilogy so much that it almost felt like fanfic. Parker is very much in the "If you like this sort of thing, then this is the sort of thing you'll like" vein. I did. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
