Happy Eurovision week. It’s the 70th edition of the world’s favourite annual international music competition. Watched my first contest on television in 1977. Went to the 1998 contest. And to my eternal regret, missed the 1997 contest.
The timeless wonders of the Welsh countryside, when travelling by train.
All aboard the 12:30 Transport for Wales service from Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central. Owned and operated by the Welsh Government, this one of the few train services in the UK which still has a dining car. And I intend to use it.
