One of the best days was when I was awarded full membership of BAFTA. I get a little taste of that feeling with every annual membership card 😊

Christian Kracht’s AIR was altogether original (speculative elements, the lot!) A Month in the Country I found tender, witty & quietly subversive (this cover does it no favours!) Daisy Miller was fun but didn’t love how she was punished for being a, what, manic pixie dream girl?

The Quinn Brothers (aged 9, 10 and 11) died when their house was firebombed by UV F in 1998, in my hometown of Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. Thanks to @scrivener1980.bsky.social for publishing.
