Well, now we know we can successfully grow nice peas here. Grew two varieties to see which did better and we have a clear winner. I'm so happy!!

I wish I felt as safe as my dog feels...she can fall asleep In less than a minute and be snoring happily soon after. Me...I might do in an hour or so. 😴
That day my baby goat gave me a hug...he was so sweet and gentle. 😔 Our neighbor shot him because he got through the fence and ate some of his wheat. Ultimately this was why I sold all my goats...I couldnt keep them safe anymore. Broke my heart.
20000 acres of forest conservation land and this bird chooses the scrawny tree outside my open bedroom window to call for a mate at 4 AM. Fifteen minutes of the alarm from hell...
Opened my window for a bit of fresh air tonight. Went to sleep easy. Just woke up to this:
See!! Once upon a time I made all our own bread... a sourdough loaf and English muffins. Can hardly wait to have a kitchen again.
Sitting here with the door open even though it's cold out watching snow fall on the deck. Ten days of being cooped up in a car/hospital/house was way more than my limit. Yes, shelter is important, but it's not the ONLY thing that's important.
