For some time now, I have rejected all the teachings about sexual purity, morality, and self-control that I once taught to young people as an evangelical youth minister. I now believe those teachings were wrong, and that my efforts to pass them on to others were wrong as well

One year ago, in a video from Garden of the Gods in Colorado, USA, I told the world I was queer. Of the few friends I still had from my evangelical life, some abandoned me. But those who embraced me outnumbered those who denounced me. No regrets.
